This summer has been a roller coaster of a ride for my family, but the best part was the adoption of our newest furry family member - a Bernese Mountain dog named Major Ted Thompson (aka Teddy - like teddy bear.) This photo was taken by my daughter Abby two days after he joined our family. We took him camping at Herald Park in Shuswap. She used our DSLR camera in manual mode with an f-stop of 5.6 to get that lovely blurry background. He is 8 weeks old in this photo. Don't you just want to squish him?
